Konami announced that *Silent Hill f*, the latest installment in the *Silent Hill* series created by NeoBards Entertainment, has already sold over one million copies. The game, released on September 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, reached this impressive sales number in just one day.
The publisher says this new game is selling faster than the *Silent Hill 2* remake did in Japan and other countries. While *Silent Hill 2* reached one million sales in its first week, it took several months to reach two million.
So, I checked out *Silent Hill f* on Steam, and even though it hasn’t gotten the same amazing reviews as the *Silent Hill 2* remake, it still got a really impressive peak of over 22,000 players at once! That’s pretty cool when you consider it’s a totally fresh start – no returning characters or familiar locations at all. It basically stands on its own, and people still flocked to check it out.
