Reports show that Shoichi, the creator of the manga “Operation Fallen Angel” (also known as Joujin Kamen), was previously arrested and convicted of sexually assaulting a student he taught. He had worked as a drawing instructor at a private high school where the incident occurred. Following news of his recent arrest and indictment for violating child pornography laws and receiving a fine, Shogakukan announced that Yamamoto (Shoichi’s pen name) is no longer affiliated with the company and “Operation Fallen Angel” has been cancelled. Shogakukan also admitted a mistake in allowing him to continue working under a different pseudonym, “Ichiro Ichi,” as the author of a new series, “Ordinary Mask.”

Released in 2011 exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Aliens: Infestation is a Metroidvania-style game where you hunt for gear, weapons, and upgrades while battling Xenomorphs. Players control one of four Marines across locations like LV-426, the moon Phobos, and the ship Sulaco, investigating the Xenomorphs’ growth. The game features permadeath – if all four Marines fall, the game is over. It’s a thrilling and enjoyable take on the classic Alien universe, reminiscent of older Alien and Metroidvania games.

You can now watch the animated movie Horton Hears a Who!, based on the classic Dr. Seuss book, on Tubi. The film, which arrived on the streaming service on February 1st, features Jim Carrey as the voice of Horton, a kind elephant who discovers a tiny town called Whoville. He then works to protect the Whos from the other animals in the jungle who don’t believe they exist. The movie, which earned $298 million around the world, is Carrey’s second adaptation of a Dr. Seuss story, following How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It also stars Carol Burnett, Will Arnett, Seth Rogen, Dan Fogler, Isla Fisher, Jonah Hill, and Amy Poehler.

Despite a friendly relationship with James Gunn, Zack Snyder continues to fuel speculation among fans about the future of his vision for the DC Universe—often called the ‘Snyderverse.’ In a recent podcast interview on Happy Sad Confused, Snyder didn’t rule out a potential return to his established storyline. He explained, ‘I would never say there was no way,’ referencing his involvement with the original Justice League film.
