Alongside him were editor Rob Levin, Matt Fraction, Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Dan Jurgens, and Kyle Higgins. During their discussion about Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, which is slated for release in October, Johnson revealed that his story draws inspiration from current events. He expressed that this has given him an outlet to channel his frustration constructively, sharing with the audience that Batman will be battling white nationalists in his upcoming issue.

What sets this arc apart is the fact that many confrontations are fueled by personal motivations, adding layers of intrigue to each encounter. In essence, it’s the emotional stakes involved in these battles that make them truly compelling.
