Mori shared that he drew his inspiration for D. Diver directly from Kentaro Miura himself, as he explained, “I’ve been creating manga with my late friend, manga artist Kentaro Miura, since our teenage years and we always consulted on everything. Miura repeatedly urged me, ‘You should create a hero who transforms to fight evil. You really need to draw that.’ As I was having trouble generating ideas, I began searching online and found a lot of anger about crime… Why do people endure such suffering? Why do they commit crimes and then get out of prison so quickly?

As a devoted fan, I can’t contain my excitement after witnessing the electrifying debut of MK1 during Summer Game Fest Live 2023. Therefore, even though Stephanie Beatriz’s Quiet is a standout in the series and original to it, she doesn’t qualify as an adaptation. The same applies to Saylor Bell Curda’s Mayhem. Additionally, while Patty Guggenheim delivers an outstanding performance as Raven in Season 2, her character hasn’t significantly deviated from her video game counterpart.

There’s been talk circulating about a possible livestream event called “State of Play” happening in September. Interestingly, this schedule aligns with Sony’s pattern for its digital shows – they’ve hosted either a State of Play or a PlayStation Showcase in September every year since 2019.
