Matt Layzell recently spoke with Animation Magazine regarding the initial episodes of the show. He explained that they approached each episode in one of three ways:
1. The first approach was based on personal or observed experiences, often involving awkward high school situations or humorous family dynamics.
2. The second approach focused on current events and attempted to add a comedic twist to social commentary.
3. The third approach was more experimental, using unique animation techniques or focusing on specific characters for an outlandish story.
Throughout the season, they aimed to ensure that each episode fit into one of these categories and was developed to its full potential.

I can only imagine what other disturbing twists and turns this ability will take as the season unfolds. And let’s not forget about the scene in the restroom where someone experiences an… explosive situation in a stall. Quite a memorable moment, indeed!
