Kadokawa Animation has officially announced that the next installment of the popular series “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt“, titled “New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt“, will be available for streaming worldwide on Prime Video, starting from Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 AM JST. In anticipation of its global debut, the series will have its world premiere at Anime Expo, with a special panel on July 4th showcasing an uncensored version of the new season. A second panel on July 5th will feature a censored version for viewers under 18 years old, and will include prominent figures from Trigger Studio such as animation director Hiroyuki Imaishi, creative producer Hiromi Wakabayashi, and art director Shigeto Koyama.
Apart from that, you’ll find a live sketching event and an autograph session with the same Trigger crew who brought you the adult-oriented animated series “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.” This show features two angel sisters expelled from Heaven for misconduct, who establish a base in Daten City to combat supernatural entities called Ghosts. The towering Reverend Garterbelt oversees their city life. Originally voiced by Arisa Ogasawara, Mariya Ise, and Koji Ishii, the three main characters will reprise their roles in “New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.” Trigger obtained the franchise rights from Gainax, a studio renowned for producing the classic anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion.
