Shows about the supernatural are consistently popular on TV. Over the past few years, there have been many successful series in this genre, featuring creatures like vampires, witches (such as in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals), and werewolves (Teen Wolf on MTV). In 2023, Paramount+ entered the scene with a series about ghosts and the afterlife, and now the show is returning for what promises to be its most intense season yet, with a well-known actor from the Chucky series joining the cast.
Season 3 of School Spirits is now streaming on Paramount+. The show follows Maddie Nears, played by Peyton List, a teenager who’s investigating her own disappearance from the afterlife. As she solves the mystery, she uncovers more secrets and lies than she ever expected. Last season, Maddie briefly returned to the living world, but her best friend Simon (Kristian Ventura) was left behind, and her spirit boyfriend, Wally, was left facing a difficult choice. This season promises even more drama with the addition of horror legend Jennifer Tilly as a new villain.
Things Are Only Going to Get More Complicated in Season 3 of School Spirits
In Season 3, actress Tilly will join the cast as Dr. Hunter Price, a school district representative sent to Split River High to restore order. However, hints suggest her character might have a hidden agenda. Tilly is widely recognized in the horror genre for playing Tiffany Valentine in the Chucky series, and recently appeared in the Chucky TV show on Syfy.
Season 3 of School Spirits will take Maddie and her friends into a more intense and unsettling mystery. The boundary between the living world and the afterlife is weakening, and everything they believed will be questioned. Maddie is haunted by frightening visions as she tries to protect both worlds after returning to life, while Simon, stuck in the afterlife, fixates on the hidden history of Split River High. The new season explores the reasons behind the many deaths at the school and the meaning of Mr. Martin’s warnings, uncovering new threats and dark secrets along the way.
I’m so excited! The first three episodes of School Spirits Season 3 are finally here on Paramount+, and I’ve already started watching. Plus, new episodes drop every Wednesday, so I’ll be tuning in each week!
