Carter Reum responded to a video from the 2024 Grammys showing Paris Hilton turning away from his kiss by saying they’re incredibly happy together. He explained that while people have been offering their opinions on the moment, he simply likes to kiss his wife, and she prefers to keep her makeup perfect for photos on the red carpet.

He added, “It’s not that deep everyone, and yes she loves me to death.”

Paris has openly expressed her strong feelings for Carter, whom she initially met in her twenties and later reconnected with at a Thanksgiving dinner in 2019. They became engaged in February 2021 and were married that November.

For the past twenty years, my life has been very public, and I’ve always been searching for the right person to share it with,” Paris wrote in a 2021 blog post after her wedding. “I wanted someone who connected with me, not the ‘Paris Hilton’ persona, and loved me for who I truly am.”

She shared how happy she is with her relationship with Carter, saying it feels like a dream come true and that she’s thrilled for what the future holds. “He makes everything feel like a fairy tale,” she added.

 

Their connection has also supported the “Stars Are Blind” singer in healing from difficult experiences in her childhood, which previously caused her to struggle with trust as an adult.

Paris explained that she used to be very guarded and didn’t easily trust people, especially after past relationships with Chris Zylka, Benji Madden, Nick Carter, Stavros Niarchos, and Rick Salomon. In a 2021 interview on The Tamron Hall Show, she even described Nick Carter as “the man of my dreams.”

She added, “I’m just happy I found the perfect partner.”

In 2019, the well-known socialite celebrated her first Christmas with her new partner by visiting his hometown in Michigan.

From the start, Paris said she saw something special in Carter.

Paris raved about Bora Bora, calling it a top travel destination and sharing memories of an incredible trip with her partner. They enjoyed thrilling activities like water skiing, swimming with sharks and turtles, wakeboarding, and jet skiing in the stunning turquoise waters. She expressed feeling cherished and surprised by his gestures, saying he makes her feel like a princess and that she feels incredibly lucky to be with him.

Paris shared that her partner gave her a stunning diamond bracelet for their anniversary, which completely surprised her. She was overjoyed and even cried when she saw it, saying she’ll cherish the beautiful gift forever.

During the 2020 Thanksgiving holiday, Paris joined Carter’s family at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach, California.

She shared how much she admires his family’s closeness. She described them as genuinely kind people, and said they always have a wonderful time when they’re together. She really enjoys spending time with them.

Paris’ 2020 documentary delved into her difficult upbringing, which she explained affected her later relationships.

She shared that past experiences made her cautious about opening up to others. However, with Carter, a connection formed effortlessly—it felt like she’d been waiting for him her entire life. She’s incredibly grateful she remained patient and found the right person.

Even though the past year was difficult because of the pandemic, Paris focused on the positive aspects. She’s especially thankful to have Carter in her life, saying she wouldn’t want to have gone through it all alone.

“Plus, it brought us even closer being able to spend 24/7 together,” she continued. “I’m used to traveling all around the world over 250 days a year, so this is the first time I’ve been in one place. Carter and I always say to each other that being together like this has literally been like being in a five-year relationship. I’ve never felt closer to a person in my life.”

After getting engaged in February 2021, the couple exchanged vows that November. 

Paris shared that she finally kissed her husband, feeling like her childhood dream of a fairytale wedding had come true. She described the wedding as a ‘true fairytale’.

The couple marked their first wedding anniversary on November 11, 2023, with a fantastic party at the Santa Monica Pier – the very same location where they got married.

Paris shared a sweet message to Carter on Instagram celebrating their first year of marriage. She described the year as a wonderful, fast-paced adventure, and said that being with him always feels like coming home, no matter where they are in the world.

Paris and Carter welcomed their son, Phoenix, in February 2023.

For a costume party, Paris went as the flight attendant from Britney Spears’ “Toxic” video, and Carter dressed up as a pilot to complete the theme.

Paris and Carter had a particularly memorable Thanksgiving in 2023. It was their first holiday with their son, Phoenix, and they also shared the wonderful news of their newborn daughter, London.
