Ratatan, a new rhythm-based game inspired by the beloved Patapon series, is finally here! After some extra development time, Ratata Arts has released it on PC through Steam Early Access. You can watch the introductory animation, “Welcome to Rataport,” below.
Like the game Patapon, players guide a quirky team of creatures called Ratatan on a rhythmic journey to the afterlife. The game features over 100 playable characters and lets up to four players team up online. Early feedback has been very positive, with 89% of 422 user reviews rating it as “Very Positive.”
Ratatan is still in development and will likely be in early access for another six to twelve months, though this timeline could shift depending on how development goes. Currently, the game features five different worlds, a variety of weapons and skills, challenging boss fights, character progression, and multiplayer. The full Version 1.0 release will build upon all of these features and add even more content, including endgame activities.
The price isn’t set yet, but it might go up after *Ratatan* officially launches. We’ll share more details soon, so keep an eye out for updates and check the launch FAQ.
