After a successful first season released two years ago, the popular comedy series Ted is returning to Peacock for Season 2. The show, a prequel to the well-known movies starring Mark Wahlberg, quickly became Peacock’s most-watched original series when it premiered in January 2024, and the streaming service is now gearing up to release its second season.
Peacock has confirmed that the second season of Ted will premiere on March 5, 2026. Similar to its first season, all eight episodes will be released at once, allowing viewers to binge-watch the entire season on launch day.

It’s 1994, and Ted, a sarcastic teddy bear, and his friend John Bennett are starting their senior year of high school. They live in Boston with John’s parents, Matty and Susan, and his cousin Blaire. Matty, a loud and proud working-class man, likes to be in charge and doesn’t appreciate being questioned, especially by his more liberal niece. Susan is incredibly kind and devoted to her family, sometimes to an extreme degree. Blaire, a college student, often clashes with her more old-fashioned relatives.
After the popular show Ted premiered on Peacock in 2024, the streaming service and Seth MacFarlane have decided to expand the franchise. A second season of the live-action series is confirmed, and a new animated show is also being developed. This animated series will continue the story after the events of the first two Ted movies, with Seth MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, and Amanda Seyfried all reprising their voice roles. A release date for the animated series hasn’t been announced yet.
