Peacock is working on a third season of Twisted Metal, and many of the actors from previous seasons will be returning. However, one well-known cast member won’t be appearing in the new episodes.
Mike Mitchell, the actor who played Stu in the first two seasons of Twisted Metal, recently shared on the Doughboys Media podcast that he won’t be appearing in Season 3. He played Stu as the somewhat clumsy and unwilling partner to Samoa Joe’s Sweet Tooth. Mitchell said he’s disappointed about being cut from the show, as he had a lot of fun working on it.
Even though he was disappointed, Mitchell emphasized he has no hard feelings towards the team behind Twisted Metal. He simply wanted to personally inform his fans that he wouldn’t be involved in Season 3 and get the news out quickly. Mitchell explained that the decision to remove his character wasn’t a personal one, but a consequence of significant changes happening with the show’s creative direction. These changes included a new showrunner and layoffs within several departments, including writing and leadership.
