Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, has announced that filming for the show’s follow-up has begun, and he’s given fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.
The new show, a collaboration between the BBC and Netflix, will continue the Peaky Blinders saga after Tommy Shelby’s story concludes. It’s set in the 1950s and will center on Tommy’s eldest son, Duke Shelby (played by Jamie Bell), as he takes charge of the Shelby family and gang and guides them into a new era.
I just got a quick update on the new series from Steven Knight at the BAFTAs, and things are looking fantastic! He told me they’re actually filming right now and expect to wrap up production in just a few weeks. Sounds like we won’t have to wait too long for this one!
Honestly, I have a feeling audiences are going to really love this one. It genuinely exceeded my expectations – it’s fantastic!

Bell portrays an older iteration of the character first seen in Peaky Blinders season 6, originally played by Conrad Khan, and also depicted by Barry Keoghan in The Immortal Man.
The next chapter of Peaky Blinders takes place ten years after World War II, and focuses on the fierce struggle to rebuild Birmingham, a competition filled with danger and larger-than-life conflicts.

I’m so excited to hear that Charlie Heaton, who I loved in Stranger Things and Industry, is going to be one of the main actors! And Jessica Brown Findlay, who was great in Downton Abbey and Silo, is joining the cast too – what a fantastic addition!
Joining the cast are Lashana Lynch, known for her roles in No Time To Die and Marvel films, and Lucy Karczewski, who starred in Stereophonic. Details about the characters they’ll be playing haven’t been announced yet.
You can now watch Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man on Netflix! Subscriptions start at just £5.99 per month, and Netflix is also accessible through Sky Glass and Virgin Media.
