Directive 8020 codes: Full list of key codes for all doors, locks and puzzles

Throughout Directive 8020, you’ll come across all sorts of key codes to unlock certain Secrets.

You can unlock these codes by solving puzzles and riddles within the game, but let’s be real – you probably don’t have the patience for that!

We’ve created a complete list of all the important codes from Directive 8020, along with guidance on where to locate them.

There are five total key codes to find in Directive 8020, each of which unlocks a different Secret.

Locker Room

  • Locker Room key code: 13576

Okay, so I found the first code! It was hidden in the Locker Room. After grabbing it, I had to head back to the Atrium and take the stairs all the way up to the top level to continue.

Okay, so I used my Utility Strap to pull open that shutter over there. Then, I used it again – this time to unlock the door through the window. Once that was done, I went inside.

You’ll discover a security camera inside, along with some hidden items. The camera reveals the code to unlock the room: 13576.

Carter’s PC

  • Carter’s PC key code: 0828

A sticky note on Carter’s computer screen says “Luna” and has a little party hat drawn next to the name.

Carter has a daughter named Luna. If you go back to the previous room, you can find a calendar showing her birthday: August 28th.

To get your key code, simply switch the day and month in the date 28/08 to the US format, which is 08/28. Combining these gives you the code: 0828.

Food Storage Room

  • Food Storage Room key code: 0402

While completing the Search quest, you’ll find the Mess Hall. Use your Wedge tool to break open a door inside, revealing a hidden room.

It’s the only door you can open with the Wedge in the Mess Hall, so you can’t miss it.

As you exit this room, look for a sticky note on the doorframe. It has the code to get into the Food Storage Room: 0402.

Diazepam Synthesis

  • Diazepam key code: 168

While playing, you might encounter a puzzle where you need to create Diazempam, which is a type of medicine.

To make Diazepam, you’ll need to mix three chemicals located in a nearby cabinet. Each chemical is labeled with a number.

The three chemicals in question and their respective numbers are:

  • Chloroacetyl chloride: 1
  • Ammonia: 6
  • Dimethyl sulphate: 8

Combining these three numbers gives us 168, which is the Diazepam key code.

Anomaly Log

  • Anomaly Log key code: 3196

When you’re playing as Cernan and searching for the rest of the crew, you’ll find a locked screen in Bridge Ops that requires a code to unlock it.

Walk through the door to your right and continue down the hallway to the cockpit. You’ll see a sticky note on the control panel with the code “Anomaly log code. CAIF”.

Back at the keypad, you’ll see you need to enter a number code. To find it, just convert the letters CAIF to their position in the alphabet – that is, C is the 3rd letter, A is the 1st, I is the 9th, and F is the 6th – giving you the code 3196, which unlocks the Anomaly Log.
