Peaky Blinders featured a remarkably talented cast throughout its six seasons. In fact, the two most recent Best Actor Oscar winners both appeared in significant roles on the show, demonstrating the high caliber of performers involved.
Cillian Murphy and many other original cast members will return for the new movie, The Immortal Man, and the film will also feature several well-known actors joining the cast.
She seemed thrilled and shared, “I’m so lucky! I’ve wanted to work with Cillian for ages, and it turns out we have the same agent.”
I was repeatedly checking in, asking for updates and what the plan was. So when this opportunity arose, it was an easy decision.
Ferguson explained what drew her to the movie, pointing to how incredibly popular the original TV show had been when it aired from 2013 to 2022.
She explained that joining such an established and beloved franchise was intimidating. ‘It’s a world with so much history and so many dedicated fans, it’s a little scary,’ she said. ‘So, I was really honored that they gave me the opportunity to work on it – it’s a massive film.’
The movie won’t be the last we see of the Shelby family. The show has been renewed for two more seasons, and these will pick up the story sometime in the future, after a time jump.
The next seasons of the show will begin in 1953 and focus on the story of the Shelby family’s younger members.
Despite suffering extensive bombing during World War II, Birmingham is now being rebuilt with modern materials like concrete and steel, looking towards a brighter future, according to the synopsis.
As a huge Peaky Blinders fan, I’m completely hooked by this new chapter. It’s all about who controls Birmingham’s massive rebuilding efforts, and it’s quickly turning into a seriously intense, almost legendary power struggle. It feels bigger and more dangerous than ever before!
This city offers incredible opportunities, but it’s also a dangerous place, and the Shelby family is right in the middle of all the turmoil.
