Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 finally gets premiere date confirmed and first-look trailer

We’re just a few months away from returning to the captivating realm of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, as the show’s second season is set to debut prior to Christmas, as hinted by an enthralling sneak peek trailer.

The TV show is inspired by the adored teenage fiction books written by Rick Riordan, chronicling the escapades of half-god Percy (Walker Scobell), who uncovers his roots within the pantheon of ancient Greek deities.

In my perspective, the acclaimed Disney+ series marks my second foray into live-action adaptations, surpassing the rather lackluster feature films by Fox from the early 2010s that preceded it.

Appropriately, season 2 progresses to the second book in Riordan’s series, “The Sea of Monsters,” offering a sneak peek at the daunting obstacles that Percy will face, along with his trusted companions Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Grover (Aryan Simhadri). They are all set to encounter what lies ahead.

Take a look at the trailer right here, and make sure to save Wednesday, 10th December 2025, in your calendar as that’s when Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 is set to debut on Disney+.

One year later, Percy Jackson finds himself back at Camp Half-Blood, only to discover a completely transformed environment.

In my own words, “I’m finding my bond with Annabeth shifting, I’ve just discovered I have a cyclops sibling, poor old Grover seems to have vanished, and our camp is under attack by the minions of Kronos.” This version keeps the essence of the original while using first-person perspective.

On an adventure to make amends, Percy ventures beyond known territories and into the treacherous waters of the Sea of Monsters. Here, the destiny of the son of Poseidon is shrouded in mystery.

In this new trailer, we see the comeback of prominent actors Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes and Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus. For the first time, we catch a glimpse of Daniel Diemer from “Under the Bridge,” who will portray Percy’s cyclops brother Tyson in the production.

In a predicament reminiscent of the aging cast in the upcoming Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians has already been greenlit for a third season, with plans to bring The Titan’s Curse to life on screen.

For fans of the Percy Jackson books who have eagerly awaited a live-action adaptation, it’s intriguing to consider that the third book in Riordan’s successful series has never been brought to life on screen before, making this a highly anticipated prospect.

Percy Jackson and the Olympian season 2 premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday 10th December 2025.
