After a long wait, Atlus has officially announced Persona 6 and released a first look at the game in a new trailer. Fans have been eager for a sequel to Persona 5 since it came out in 2017. While Atlus has released several games in the last nine years – including new titles like Metaphor: ReFantazio and remakes like Persona 3 Reload – it was always expected that Persona 6 would eventually be in development, and now we’re finally getting a glimpse of it.
The first trailer for Persona 6 debuted today at the Xbox Games Showcase, but it was short and didn’t show any of the game’s characters. Instead, it featured a stormy graveyard scene. While no release date was announced, the game is confirmed to be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

According to recent reports, Persona 6 is expected to be released next year. Combined with the planned February release of Persona 4 Revival, a remake of Persona 4, 2027 could be a huge year for the Persona series, offering fans two new games to enjoy.
Since Persona 4 Revival is coming out before Persona 6, it’s probable that Atlus won’t share many details about the next main Persona game until after the remake is released. As soon as we have more information about Persona 6 and what to expect, we’ll share it with you here on ComicBook.
