Jake Knapp is grieving the loss of one of his biggest supporters.
Makena White, the girlfriend of a PGA Tour golfer, passed away on September 26th, according to a post on her Instagram account. She was 28 years old.
The announcement shared that White had passed away earlier in the week and was already greatly missed.
The Instagram post described Makena as truly unique. She had a special talent for making people feel valued, and she was incredibly loving. Being loved by her was a wonderful gift, filled with laughter, happiness, and a bit of playful craziness as everyone tried to follow her adventures around the world.
The message ended with a heartfelt goodbye, saying, “We love you, Mak. We’ll always miss you and remember you fondly.”
A cause of death has not been shared publicly.
TopMob News has reached out to Knapp’s rep for comment but has not heard back.
I was so happy to see Betty and Carter celebrating their second anniversary on Instagram just a little while ago! She shared some really sweet photos of them together at his golf tournaments – there was even one of them kissing! It was just so clear how proud she was to watch him achieve his dreams. It really warmed my heart to see them so happy together.
She shared how thankful she was to be spending time with him, hoping they’d have lots more moments like it. She also expressed her deep love, saying he makes her incredibly proud and is just so easy to adore.
Knapp showed agreement with the post by replying with two red heart emojis.
In May, White shared a heartfelt birthday message for her boyfriend, calling him her “very best friend.”
She shared on Instagram that no matter how much they travel, being with him always feels like coming home.
Knapp, 31, was also thrilled to celebrate his girlfriend’s achievements, including finishing a half marathon in October 2024.
“Built for speed!” he wrote in a comment on her Instagram at the time. “So so so proud of you!”
