Push Square tends to draw in dedicated PlayStation fans who strongly prefer single-player games and are often critical of online multiplayer experiences. We’ve hosted numerous livestreams, and the consistent feedback from our audience has been one of dissatisfaction with multiplayer titles.
Usually, we have to wait for reactions, but this time it’s clear the recent State of Play showcase was a hit! Our overnight poll shows most viewers responded positively. This is likely due to the over an hour of PlayStation news, which included announcements about the God of War Trilogy Remake, God of War: Sons of Sparta, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, and other exciting games.
After over 3,100 votes, a large majority – 82% of readers – rated the showcase as good or better. Specifically, 36% called it excellent, 32% said it was very good, and another 14% thought it was good.
The recent livestream was the most popular State of Play broadcast ever, and it only happened yesterday! While the June 2025 State of Play – where Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was revealed – currently holds the record with three million views after eight months, yesterday’s broadcast has already reached that same number and is quickly surpassing it.
