PlayStation gamers have a final opportunity to get a free PS4 download before Ghost of Yotei launches next month. The follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima is scheduled to arrive on PS5 and PS5 Pro on October 2nd, and as our review points out, it’s a fantastic continuation of a standout game from 2020. While PS4 owners won’t be able to play the new sequel, they can still download a free game now.
Until October 3rd, PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro owners can get a special Ghost of Tsushima dynamic theme to download. Even if you have a PS5, it’s worth claiming the theme anyway. There’s a possibility Sony will add themes back to the PS5, correcting their decision to leave them out. If they do, you might be able to transfer your themes from your PS4. Even if PS5 doesn’t get themes, there’s still hope for the PS6 – PlayStation fans have been asking Sony to bring themes back all throughout this console generation, and it’s a feature they’ve really missed.
One of the Best PS4 Themes
As a huge fan, I have to say the Ghost of Tsushima theme is really cool! It’s not just a still image – it actually *moves*, which is awesome. Plus, it has its own unique music. It’s missing a few of the little extras some dynamic PS4 themes have, like special sounds when you scroll or click things. But honestly, it’s easily one of the best dynamic themes Sony has ever put out, especially if you love Ghost of Tsushima as much as I do! It really brings the game to life.
If you’d like to get this free item, you won’t find it in the PlayStation Store. Instead, you’ll need to use one of these codes: 5FM9-5LN6-FCM2 (Americas), 4PNM-4RNP-9C92 (Europe), 7CG-8DNC-BN6K (Asia), 8FLX-26NE-D9AA (Japan), or GHGR-L3N9-3DTQ (South Korea).
If you’re not interested in this free game, don’t worry – there’s another one! Sony has also just released a freebie for both PS4 and PS5 players. While the previous offer included Ghost of Tsushima, this one lets you download Until Dawn.
Even though the PS4 is still receiving games and even some free content, recent news indicates that Sony is planning to end support for the older console. This means players who still use it might have to upgrade to a newer system soon. Unfortunately, if they do, they won’t be able to transfer their custom themes to the new console. This is a significant change for long-time PS4 users who have personalized their experience.
With that being said, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment and share your thoughts, or continue the discussion on the ComicBook Forum.
