As a PlayStation Plus fan, I’m really excited about the new games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers! We just got the free monthly games for January 2026 – Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper were all pretty great – but everyone was eager to see what would be added to the Game Catalog for the new year. Well, the wait is almost over! I just found out what games we’ll be able to download next week, and I can’t wait to check them out.
Sony announced the new games coming to PS Plus on January 20th in a PlayStation Blog post. This month’s biggest addition is Resident Evil Village, available just before the release of the next Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Requiem. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is also being added before Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties launches next month. For PlayStation fans wanting a retro experience, Ridge Racer is the single classic game being added for Premium members.

Overall, Sony is adding a really solid collection of games to PS Plus this month. Notably, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is the only game exclusive to the PS5, meaning PS4 players will be able to enjoy most of the new additions.
Each month, PlayStation Plus updates its game library, meaning some titles leave to make room for new ones. In January, Sony will be removing Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Monopoly Plus from the service. If you want to play these games, make sure to do so before the end of the week.
