March 2026 is almost here, and that means it’s time to reveal the free games for next month’s PlayStation Plus Essential!
For those who don’t follow golf, reports from earlier this week were right: PGA Tour 2K25 is indeed the leading game being showcased.
As a sports fan, I’ve noticed that sports simulation games just don’t seem to work out very well on PlayStation Plus. But honestly, it’s not too bad because the Tiger Woods golf game is only a small part of what’s available – just about a quarter of the whole selection, thankfully!
Many players will likely be most excited about Monster Hunter Rise. While it doesn’t have the same large-scale presentation as games like World or Wilds, this action RPG from Capcom is wonderfully polished and offers fantastic gameplay.
Slime Rancher 2 is a fun farming game where you care for adorable slimes. It’s really addictive, and if you’re looking for something unique, it’s definitely worth playing.
Lastly, there’s The Elder Scrolls Online. It’s a well-made online multiplayer game based on Bethesda’s popular RPG series, but it’s incredibly large and can be overwhelming for new players. Over the years, it’s received tons of updates and expansions – most of which are included with this PS Plus version – making it a massive game that can easily keep you occupied for months.
