Let’s be honest, this RPG is quite lengthy. Interestingly, that’s after Square Enix intentionally trimmed down sections of the game. The original version on PlayStation 1 was often criticized for feeling unnecessarily drawn out, so they aimed to address that this time around.
We gave this updated version of Dragon Quest 7 on the PS5 a score of 8 out of 10, and we thought it was great!
We were captivated by the beautiful art style and enchanting story of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, and praised it as a fantastic remake that perfectly showcases the timeless appeal of the Dragon Quest series.
We previously said that even though the story occasionally feels slow, significant gameplay improvements and a more focused experience make this version essential for fans of classic Japanese role-playing games.
