If you can’t wait to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, we have some great news for you.
The PS5 action platformer will now release on May 22, 2026, which is a week earlier than the original release date of May 29th.
This comes via a brief video highlighting the news:
According to the official website’s FAQ, the new release date also affects the early access period for players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition. This means Deluxe Edition pre-orderers can start playing as soon as May 19th.
Essentially, Legacy of the Dark Knight feels like the ultimate Batman experience, bringing together elements from across the character’s entire history. It’s packed with references that longtime fans of the comics, films, and other media will instantly recognize.
Players who enjoy the Batman Arkham games will likely appreciate the new game’s familiar style of gameplay, featuring similar fighting and world exploration.
A release date being brought forward is a rarity, but it’s nice when it happens.
It’s not alone in releasing ahead of schedule โ Capcom’s Pragmata also recently moved up its release date.
I’m so excited about LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight coming to PS5! What about you guys? Let me know what you think in the comments!
