Predator: Badlands director teases “fun ideas” for more Alien crossovers with franchise

Both the Alien and Predator movies have had some truly great installments, but when these two series have been combined in the past, the results haven’t been very successful.

He mentioned that a bigger crossover could happen in the future, but what was really exciting about this collaboration was being able to weave elements from one franchise into the story of another in a natural way, rather than just creating a forced, spectacle-driven event.

It’s simply the building blocks of both worlds. I thought it was a clever way to combine the two franchises.

Trachtenberg didn’t reveal any concrete plans for future collaborations between the two worlds, remaining tight-lipped about specifics. However, he hinted at exciting possibilities, saying, “I have lots of fun ideas.”

This definitely suggests a more promising collaboration between the franchises going forward. Considering the director has successfully delivered three creative and enjoyable Predator films, we’re excited to see what innovative concepts he comes up with next.

Here’s hoping it’s only a matter of time…
