After just 10 days in theaters, Badlands has earned over $135 million worldwide, with over $60 million coming from U.S. theaters. This success means the film has already made more than its $105 million production budget and become the highest-grossing film in the series. Although it still has a ways to go to reach the $350 million earned by Alien: Romulus, positive reviews and audience buzz could draw even more viewers in the weeks ahead.
As a big fan, I’m really curious to see where the Predator series heads next. Trachtenberg has a clear vision, and I’m pretty confident the studio will let him explore it. With Alien: Romulus already confirmed and Alien: Earth getting another season, everyone’s really wondering if we’ll finally get another full-on Alien vs. Predator movie – it’s been over a decade since the last one, and it wasn’t exactly a hit.
