Jana Duggar is counting precious moments with her family as she prepares to start her own.
The 35-year-old, who is expecting her first child with her husband Stephen Wissman, recently posted a YouTube video showing a Florida vacation taken by the Duggars – a large family of over 40 members.
The *Counting On* star shared a video showing her large family – including her twin brother, John-David Duggar, their spouses, and all the kids – enjoying time together. The video featured them playing games, singing, swimming in a pool, and playing at the beach, all in a private home.
Jana’s brother, Jedidiah Duggar, and his wife, Katelyn Duggar, were also spotted enjoying the beach at sunset with their 3-year-old son, Truett, giving him a piggyback ride.
“What is it, Truett?” Jana asks her nephew, who responds, “Ocean.”
Jana shared that her family, the Duggars, has a tradition of taking evening walks on the beach after meals. She posted a photo of everyone – including her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar – posing together on the sand.
Jana Duggar is counting precious moments with her family as she prepares to start her own.
The 35-year-old, who is expecting her first child with her husband Stephen Wissman, recently shared a look at a Florida vacation she took in 2024. The trip included over 40 members of the Duggar family.
Joy-Anna Duggar’s recent YouTube video from September 19th showed a large family gathering. Several of her 18 siblings, including her twin brother John-David Duggar, their spouses, and her nieces and nephews all joined in the fun, playing games, singing, and enjoying time at the pool and beach.
A heartwarming moment occurred when Jana’s sister-in-law, Katey Duggar, gave her three-year-old nephew, Truett, a piggyback ride.
What is it, Truett?” Jana asked brother Jedidiah Duggar’s toddler, who responded, “Ocean.”
The beach was especially meaningful during their vacation, which happened soon after their wedding, even though it rained a lot.
Jana shared that a nighttime beach walk is a long-standing family tradition for the Duggars. They marked the occasion with a group photo featuring her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, sister Jessa Duggar Seewald, her husband Ben Seewald, and their children: Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, Ivy, 6, Fern, 4, and George, who is now 21 months old.
Jana said, “The best part about a rainy day is having the beach almost all to yourself.”

Jana noted that the vacation took place shortly after she and Stephen married in August 2024.
I’ll never forget this trip, and I’m so excited to finally share all the amazing memories and fun we had! She posted a video, and it just brings everything back – it was truly special.
Jana
Jana revealed a video about her pregnancy a month after sharing the happy news. On August 18th, she posted on Instagram, saying she and her family are thrilled to welcome a baby in January 2026. She expressed their excitement and said they can’t wait for this next chapter in their lives.
The Duggar family’s 2024 vacation had over 40 members, but the family has gotten even bigger since then! Jedidiah and Katey welcomed twin daughters, Elsie Kate and Emma Kate, in January, and Jessa and Ben had their sixth child, Edward, in July.
With Jana and Stephen eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby, let’s take a look at the entire Duggar family history.

I’ve always been fascinated by their story! They were high school sweethearts, and now they’re parents to nineteen children and grandparents to over thirty-six grandkids! It’s incredible to think how their love has grown over the years and blossomed into such a huge, wonderful family.
Michelle remembers accepting Christianity when she was 15. Shortly after, Jim Bob was visiting homes in the neighborhood as part of his church’s outreach program. A friend mentioned that a newly religious cheerleader lived at the Ruark family’s house, so Jim Bob went to their door.
Jim Bob and Michelle first met when they invited her to Sunday school at their church, and Jim Bob hoped they could become spiritual mentors to each other. Michelle didn’t recall the meeting being particularly memorable, though. A year later, she applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a 2017 letter posted on the family blog for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd anniversary, Michelle recalled, “You came to the counter where I was working and introduced yourself. You were shy but sweet! I don’t remember much of the conversation, except that you finally asked me to the junior-senior banquet!”
They first met at a dinner at Shiloh Christian, but it was a long conversation about the Bible at her parents’ house afterward that really sparked a connection. As Michelle described it, that’s when they felt their hearts truly connected. They graduated high school in May 1984 and were married just two months later in July. Michelle was 17 at the time, and Jim Bob was 19.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously served as a state representative for Arkansas’s sixth district from 1999 to 2002, where he was vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2002 but didn’t win the primary, and in 2006, he also didn’t secure the Republican nomination for the state Senate’s 35th district.
Okay, so Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar – they’re real estate agents, which is cool, but honestly, what *really* matters is they’re super involved in conservative politics. And it’s fascinating to me how people reacted to their show, *19 Kids and Counting* (it actually started as *17 Kids and Counting* back in 2008!). Some people *loved* them, totally supported their values, while others were really critical. It was wild to watch the different sides!
As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

Josh Duggar, the oldest child in the Duggar family, was born on March 3, 1988. Like his parents, he became involved in conservative activism, working with the Family Research Council.
Josh Duggar resigned after old police records from 2015 became public, detailing accusations that he had sexually abused several girls, including his sisters Jessa and Jill Duggar, while he was a teenager. In a June interview with Fox News, Jessa defended her brother, claiming the accusations were exaggerated and untrue. She stated that, as one of the victims, she knew the claims were false, even though some people disagreed with her perspective.

His wife, Anna Duggar, whom he married on September 26, 2008, in a ceremony shown on the show *19 Kids and Counting*, remained supportive, even after he confessed to infidelity.
In 2016, when he began treatment, his parents described it as an important start to his recovery process.
Anna and her husband have seven children: Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011), Marcus (June 2, 2013), Meredith (July 16, 2015), Mason Garett (September 12, 2017), Maryella Hope (November 27, 2019), and Madyson Lily (October 23, 2021). Meredith was born on the same day TLC canceled *19 Kids*.
In April 2021, Josh was accused of receiving and possessing child pornography in a federal indictment. He initially denied both charges, but in 2022, a jury found him guilty on both counts. However, the judge later dismissed the possession charge, and Josh was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison.

Soon after Josh arrived, Michelle became pregnant again, but sadly, she lost the baby. While they were still sad about this loss and seeking direction, they were overjoyed to discover they were expecting twins.
It felt like a wonderful gift from God, a real encouragement to us,” she explained. “We’re still figuring things out as we go. It’s quite unique – I breastfeed, and my children are very close in age. I have a baby, and then I’m pregnant again just eight months later. It’s another unexpected thing that God has brought into our lives.
John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett married on November 3, 2018, after a quick romance and engagement. They had known each other for several years prior to meeting at a church event in Oklahoma, where Abbie is from.
They welcomed daughter Grace Annette Duggar on Jan. 7, 2020 and son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
In a heartfelt message on their 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana reflected on a long-running joke about having a ‘twin thing’ – that special connection where you feel what the other person feels or know what they’re thinking. She’d always said they didn’t share that bond, but with the birth of their daughter, Gracie, she realized it was real. Jana explained she felt just as much joy as John did, proving that ‘twin thing’ truly existed!
Jana told them, “It’s lovely seeing you and Abbie as parents – you both seem so natural! You’re a great brother, and that same kindness and care will make you a wonderful father.”

Jana watched eleven of her eighteen siblings get married before she met her husband, Stephen Wissmann. Stephen’s sister, Hannah, is married to Jana’s brother, Jeremiah. Although she sometimes felt frustrated by the wait, Jana believes everything happened according to God’s plan.
Jana explained to *People* magazine that she’s realized everyone’s path in life is unique, and she trusts that God has a plan for her. That’s why she’s choosing to get married later in life. ‘If we all lived the same way, life would be pretty dull,’ she said, ahead of her wedding on August 15, 2024.
Just over a year later, the couple shared that they’re expecting their first baby.

Jill Dillard (born May 17, 1991) met her husband, Derick, in a way that reminded people of her parents’ romance. He visited the Duggar family home in December 2011 while caroling with his church group, and they were introduced then. Derick grew up about 45 minutes from the Duggars.
Jim Bob brought Jill and Derick together, and they quickly connected through emails and video calls. That November, Jill and her father visited Derick in Nepal, and their relationship blossomed. Derick formally asked Jim Bob for Jill’s hand in marriage in February 2014, and they were married on June 21st of that year. They now have three sons: Israel, born in April 2015, Samuel, born in July 2017, and Frederick, born in July 2022.
In April 2024, Jill announced that she and Derick had experienced a miscarriage while expecting their first daughter.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary *Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets*, which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick Dillard discussed the controversies and religious beliefs connected to her family.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.
I remember when Jessa and Ben first got together! They met at church, and he actually *courted* her, starting in 2013. It was so different from what most people are used to, it really caught a lot of us by surprise! The Duggars weren’t big on talking about relationships before getting engaged, so Jim Bob explained that ‘courting’ is about getting to know each other with both families involved, and setting goals to see if marriage is right. He said it’s different from ‘dating,’ where couples often spend time alone and things can become more physical much faster.
Ben asked for Jessa’s father’s permission and proposed to her in August 2014 – it was the first time they’d held hands! They got married on November 1, 2014. Shortly after, while Jessa was pregnant with their first child, their show *19 Kids and Counting* was canceled. TLC then aired a special featuring Jessa and her sister Jill discussing sexual abuse to raise awareness among viewers. That winter, the sisters starred in their own spin-off, *Jill and Jessa: Counting On*, which later became *Counting On* and included other members of the Duggar family.
Jessa and Ben have four children: Spurgeon, born in November 2015; Henry, born in February 2017; Ivy Jane, born in May 2019; and Fern, born in July 2021. They sadly experienced a miscarriage during the 2022 holidays, but welcomed their fifth child, George, in December 2023.
In August 2025, Jessa announced the birth of son Edward.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy first connected while doing mission work in Laredo, Texas, and began dating in 2016. They got married on November 5, 2016 – the same day as Jinger’s nephew Spurgeon’s birthday – and quickly faced speculation about whether they were expecting a baby. (It’s not easy to avoid overlapping important dates when you’re part of a large family of nineteen!)
In June 2017, on an episode of *Counting On*, Jinger shared that she and her family hoped to be settled and continuing their ministry work in Laredo, serving God in whatever way they could.
Life has been full of joy and a little heartbreak for our family. We were so excited to announce we were expecting in May 2018, but sadly, we experienced a miscarriage the previous fall. Thankfully, our family grew again when we welcomed our sweet Felicity on July 19, 2018, and then our precious Evangeline Jo in November 2020. It’s been a beautiful journey, filled with ups and downs, and we’re so grateful for every blessing.
Son Finnegan Charles was born March 29, 2025.

Oh my gosh, Joseph Duggar! He’s number seven, and was born on January 20th, 1995! I was SO excited when he got engaged! It was at Joy-Anna’s wedding – can you believe it?! He proposed to Kendra, who he’d met at church, and it was only after a few months of ‘courting’! It was the sweetest thing ever, seriously. I knew they were meant to be!
Joseph admitted he was nervous proposing, but felt confident she’d say yes because she had previously told him, ‘I’m just waiting on you!'” he shared with *People* magazine. Kendra added, “I’m incredibly happy and still in shock. I have so much I want to say, but I’m just speechless right now.”
The couple has welcomed three children: a son named Garrett, born in June 2018, and daughters Addison, born in November 2019, and Brooklyn, born in February 2021.

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
After publicly dating for only a few months, the couple announced their engagement in March 2018. He shared that he proposed to Lauren in the same location where her parents had gotten engaged, explaining that the property held a lot of family history and was therefore particularly meaningful to her.
Lauren’s future mother-in-law, Michelle, shared in a video on the family’s blog how much they adore her, calling her a “precious girl.” Jessa and Ben also congratulated the couple and gave them chocolate candies shaped like hearts and kisses. Michelle jokingly said, “I’m guessing you want to save your first kiss for the wedding! But if you come visit, we have this…” as she held up the chocolate as a fun little gift.
Josiah previously dated Marjorie Jackson, but they ended their relationship in the summer of 2015. He told *People* magazine in March 2016 that they had enjoyed their time together and were trying to discern what God wanted for them. Ultimately, Marjorie didn’t feel the timing was right, so they decided to take a break.
He and Lauren got married on June 30, 2018, and described their wedding day as “absolutely perfect” in an interview with *People* magazine. They became parents to daughter Bella Milagro on November 8, 2019-a name meaning “miracle baby”-after Lauren experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. The couple expanded their family with daughter Daisy in 2022, and welcomed a son named Ezra in May 2023.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth had been friends for 15 years before they began dating. They quickly got engaged in February 2017 and married just a few months later on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – the same wedding where Joseph Duggar proposed to Kendra Caldwell!

Joy-Anna and Austin are parents to three children: Gideon Martin Forsyth, born February 23, 2018; Evelyn Mae Forsyth, born August 21, 2020; and Gunner James Forsyth, born May 17, 2023.

Jed and Jeremiah Duggar, the second set of twins born to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, arrived on December 30, 1998.

Jed and Katey Nakatsu married in April 2021 after dating for a year. They have two children: a son named Truett, born in May 2022, and a daughter named Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
Jed and Katey shared the exciting news in July 2024 that they were expecting twin girls. Elsie Kate and Emma Kate arrived on January 8, 2025.

Jeremiah is a certified flight instructor and is married to Hannah Wissmann, who is the sister of Stephen (Jana’s husband). They have two daughters: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
They announced the arrival of their third daughter, Emery ‘Emy’ Jane Duggar, on May 18, 2025.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.
Back in January 2017, the Daily Mail said Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a run-down house in Prairie Grove, Arkansas – roughly half an hour from the Duggar family’s property. Jase then used this as an opportunity to launch his own construction business.
He publicly announced his relationship with Maddie Grace on Instagram in May 2024, and they got married in October of the same year.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.
He’s not currently looking for a romantic partner, but he’s a very loving and involved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mom Michelle described James as the ‘fun uncle’ – someone all the younger boys admire and want to emulate. She shared this on his 19th birthday in 2019, noting his incredible ability to build or fix anything he sets his mind to. Even when he was little, he was always taking things apart – appliances, toys, you name it – to understand how they worked. He wasn’t just taking them apart though; he’d always put them back together, often with his own unique improvements!
James put in a lot of effort this year and earned his commercial driver’s license! He’s now skilled at operating large trucks and heavy equipment, and we’re excited to see what opportunities lie ahead for him.

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
He began dating Claire Spivey in September 2020, and they announced their engagement the following November. They were married on February 26, 2021.

Jackson Duggar, the fifteenth child of Jim Bob and Michelle, was born on May 23, 2004. He’s pictured here with his older sister, Jill.

On Jackson’s sixteenth birthday, his mom, Michelle, complimented his funny personality and said she knew he was really excited to get his driver’s license.

Johannah Duggar was born on October 11, 2005, which is why her family was featured in the special called *16 Kids and Moving In*.
On her daughter’s fifteenth birthday in 2020, Michelle wrote about how much joy her daughter brings to everyone. She described her as friendly and sociable, someone who easily makes friends. Michelle also shared how much her younger sisters love and admire her, and expressed her gratitude to God for the privilege of being her mother.

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.
Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
When her daughter, Jennifer, turned thirteen, Michelle described her as someone who is reliable, loyal, and a joy to be around! The nieces and nephews adore Jennifer, often clinging to her because they don’t want her to let go. She’s also a huge animal lover and diligently cares for her pets each day. Recently, she even helped raise a whole litter of seven bunnies!

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

In 2019, Jordyn-Grace’s mom described her as a friendly and sociable person who easily connects with anyone. She also said Jordyn-Grace’s laugh always brightens their day.

Let me tell you, as someone who’s seen a lot of families, little Josie Duggar’s story is truly inspiring. Born on December 10th, 2009, she arrived three months early, weighing just a tiny 1 pound, 6 ounces. She was a fighter from day one, spending six months in the NICU to get strong and healthy. It’s moments like these, seeing a little one overcome such a challenging start, that really remind you of the power of resilience – and it’s lovely to see her now, like in this photo with her sweet niece Meredith!

Michelle described her daughter, Josie, as full of energy when writing a birthday message for her 11th birthday in 2020. She noted that Josie is constantly on the go, rarely resting from morning until bedtime.
