Ian Harding and his former Pretty Little Liars co-star will be teaming up again for a new holiday romantic comedy called The Twelve Dates of Christmas. The pair played on-screen lovers Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz throughout the seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, a show about a group of friends tormented by someone who knows all their secrets.
As reported by Deadline, Bethany Hale and Lucy Harding will star in The Twelve Dates of Christmas, a new romantic comedy from David Lipper (known for The Neglected and Bride Hard). The film, which reunites the Pretty Little Liars co-stars eight years after the show ended, centers on a career-focused shop owner (Hale) who decides to go on twelve dates before Christmas, hoping to find love.
Lipper and Seth Howard, a new screenwriter, co-wrote ‘The Twelve Dates of Christmas.’ The film is being produced by Latigo Films, BuzzFeed Studios, Applewood Studios, CaliWood Pictures, and Fortitude International. They’re currently planning a release during next year’s holiday season, and the film might be a good fit for a streaming service.
Fans are anticipating another romantic storyline for actors Troian Bellisario (Hale) and Ian Harding, following the complicated relationship their characters shared on Pretty Little Liars. Their characters, Aria and Ezra, were a source of debate among viewers because their relationship began when Aria was a student and Ezra was her teacher. The show eventually saw them marry, but only after Aria finished school.
Since 2017, Lilan Hale has appeared in numerous films and television series, such as Truth or Dare, Life Sentence, Riverdale, The Hating Game, Running on Empty, Which Brings Me to You, and F Marry Kill. She has several projects in the works, including the films Legacy directed by David Slade and White Mars directed by Martin Owen. In addition to her acting work, Hale released a studio album called Road Ahead in June 2014.
Harding has appeared in several well-known projects, including the Best Picture-nominated film Ford v Ferrari. She’s also been in Love & Other Drugs, Chicago Med, Long Slow Exhale, Holidazed, and the upcoming Lost in Paradise. Her new film, The Twelve Days of Christmas, might be good – and it certainly benefits from starring two actors who have worked together before.
“The Twelve Days of Christmas” looks set to be a popular holiday streaming movie, similar to recent hits like “Jingle Bell Heist” and “Champagne Problems.” Like last year’s “Secret Santa,” it benefits from having a well-known lead actress, Lucy Hale, who starred in a popular TV show. It’s likely this film will become a streaming favorite by next Christmas.
