Prime Video is known for excellent shows like Invincible, Fallout, and The Boys, but one of those is finishing up soon. That makes this a great time for Prime Video to launch a new, promising series, and it looks like they’ve found one with their latest comic book adaptation. The show has now announced its cast, and the news is all positive.
Prime Video is moving forward with its adaptation of the comic series Sex Criminals, and has now cast its lead actors. Imogen Poots (known for The Chronology of Water) and John Reynolds (Seekers of Infinite Love) will star as Suze and Jon, respectively. Both actors are expected to deliver strong performances, adding to the anticipation for what is already considered a highly promising series.
What Exactly Is Prime Video’s Sex Criminals?

The comic series Sex Criminals, created by Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Becka Kinzie, Thomas K, and Drew Gill, centers around Suze and Jon, who possess an unusual ability. The first issue primarily focuses on Suze as she recounts discovering she can stop time—but only during sexual activity.
She finds peace in quiet moments, a break from her hectic life. But things change when she meets a man named Jon and they discover they share a unique ability. This discovery leads them to an unexpected path: they decide to use their powers to become bank robbers, keeping their secret hidden as they commit their crimes.
It quickly becomes difficult to juggle normal life with the demands of being a thief, and things get even more complicated when intimacy is needed right before or even during a mission to manipulate time and succeed with their plans.
The upcoming series has a lot of promise and could be a big hit, particularly because the original comic book is so popular. Its unique story idea is also a major strength. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, the show is currently being developed.
