As the current spring anime season nears its end, fans are looking forward to the next wave of new shows, and Prime Video has several highly anticipated releases coming up.
The anime series Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. originally premiered on Prime Video in 2024, and fans have been waiting for the second season. It was previously announced to arrive in July, and now we have a confirmed release date: July 4th in Japan. Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. 2 Confirms July 2026 Release Date
The second season of Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is set to premiere in Japan on July 4th as part of the Summer 2026 anime lineup. While the first season is currently available to stream exclusively on Prime Video, details about where to watch the new season internationally haven’t been announced yet. There have been some changes to the production team; Riki Fukushima is the new director at J.C. Staff, and Michiko Yokote is writing the scripts. Fortunately, Masahiro Fujii and Makoto Miyazaki are returning to reprise their roles as character designer and composer, respectively.
Yumiri Hanamori originally voiced Hitomi Koshigaya in the first season of Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., but she will no longer be playing the role. Mariko Higashiuchi will take over as Hitomi for the new season, and Sayumi Watabe joins the cast as Iroha Akasaka. Fairouz Ai, Rikiya Koyama, Daiki Yamashita, and Ryota Ohsaka are all returning to reprise their roles as Kana Sakuragi, Koji Shigemoto, Kazuo Nikoyama, and Midorikawa, respectively.

Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki’s Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. first appeared on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in 2021 and concluded last summer. Now that the original series is finished and the anime adaptation has begun, the show can fully explore the complete story. The first season offered a fresh take on the magical girl genre, portraying it as an ordinary job anyone can have, rather than a destiny for chosen heroes.
