For British royal Peter Phillips, Wimbledon 2025 was all love.
On July 9, the offspring of Princess Anne and her equestrian partner Mark Phillips attended a tennis event in London, accompanied by his girlfriend Harriet Sperling, who he has been dating for over a year.
On their fashionable tennis outing, the 47-year-old grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip opted for a navy suit jacket, paired with khaki trousers, a white shirt, and a navy-and-red striped tie. Meanwhile, Harriet chose a light blue linen skirt ensemble.
It’s clear that the outing at Wimbledon shows their relationship is still thriving, over a year since they started dating, which was four years after Peter’s divorce from Autumn Phillips. Their children, Savannah (age 14) and Isla (age 13), are offspring of this former relationship.
On that very day, July 9th, it wasn’t just Peter who attended the match from the Royal Box; Queen Camilla was also present, gracing the occasion with her presence to watch the action unfold on the courts as well.
It’s possible that more royals might participate in the Grand Slam tournament this year, as Kate Middleton has frequently attended the event during the final weekends of matches, such as the 2024 Men’s Final, where she made a less common public outing amid her cancer treatment.
Although Princess Kate Middleton hasn’t managed to excel at entering Wimbledon this year, her parents Carole and Michael Middleton were present at the tournament on July 7th. Given their love for tennis, it’s no surprise that attending Wimbledon is a regular tradition for the family, as Kate has explained before.
She stated in the 2017 BBC documentary ‘Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon,’ ‘It’s an essential aspect of English summers.’ She believes it motivates children and personally, it motivated her when she was young to participate in the sport. What’s striking about it is that it hasn’t lost its charm over time.
