Title Review: Lies of P on PS5 – 8/10
In our Lies of P PS5 review, we found this Souls-like game inspired by Pinocchio to be the standout title for the month. With an 8 out of 10 rating, we concluded that “Lies of P showcases the achievement of a developer who has clearly honed their skills in the Souls-like genre, making it all the more impressive that Round8 Studio was able to deliver such a polished product on its debut attempt. By immersing players in a dark reimagining of the classic Pinocchio tale, Lies of P distinguishes itself from other offerings within this genre.
This summer, a DLC expansion titled Overture was added to both the PS5 and PS4 versions of an already popular game. Many are saying it’s just as engaging as the original game itself. If you’d like to enhance your PS Plus Essential experience, you can purchase this add-on for approximately £24.99 or $29.99.
The quality of the lineup drops significantly afterward, as our PlayStation 4 review labeled My Hero One’s Justice 2 as an “average arena fighter”. This assessment concluded that despite having various modes, the game fails to distinguish itself. In essence, My Hero One’s Justice 2 provides a somewhat unremarkable and forgettable gaming experience.
Initially, DayZ had a dismal debut on PlayStation 4 back in 2019, leaving us with a rating of 2/10. Given that the game has likely been updated since then, we can only hope for improvements. However, there are numerous superior survival games currently available.
