With no new Dino Crisis games on the horizon, the upcoming shooter Code Violet from TeamKill Media appears poised to satisfy fans looking for that kind of experience.
Everyone’s been anticipating this sci-fi action horror game, a PlayStation 5 exclusive, all year. It was originally supposed to come out in November, but it’s now been pushed back to January 10th, 2026.
Although the game’s release is delayed, there’s positive news: Code Violet is now fully completed! The remaining time will likely be used to fix any small issues before launch.
All this news comes via a lengthy statement posted on the studio’s social accounts:
Basically, the team had problems with how special content was being given to players who bought the deluxe or pre-order versions of the game. To avoid those issues, they’ve decided to release just one regular version of the game.
This edition includes everything previously offered in the deluxe versions – all the extra outfits, items, and benefits. Because of this, anyone who pre-ordered the deluxe edition will get a full refund.
TeamKill Media is working to get Code Violet back up on the PS Store for pre-ordering.
We expect to see more gameplay footage and trailers released before the game comes out next year.
The game’s launch had some setbacks, but overall, the delay seems like a good thing. We’re hoping players will find the final product a worthwhile experience.
