PS5 Price Increases Hit Another Region, Effective from 1st May

Sony announced that the price of the PS5 will be going up in Southeast Asia starting Friday, May 1st, 2026. This follows recent price increases in other regions.

Sony acknowledged that raising prices affects its customers, but stated it was a required move to maintain the quality and innovation of its games globally. Following significant price increases for the PS5, sales in Japan dropped sharply.
