Bandai Namco’s next Captain Tsubasa soccer game, Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, will be available on PS5 starting August 28th, just a few weeks after the World Cup ends.
If you pre-order now, you’ll receive the official kits for the 2026 Japan national team and the World Youth jersey. Plus, you’ll get a head start with access to the Brazil youth team and some bonus audio tracks.
The last Captain Tsubasa game came out on PlayStation 4 in 2020, and Bandai Namco says this new version will play even better.
The press release says:
The game now features exciting new super moves that make every play – like passing and blocking – more impactful. These additions create a deeper level of strategy, particularly during one-on-one battles between goalkeepers and shooters, with amazing super shots and blocks performed by familiar characters.
The game features 22 national teams and more than 110 players to choose from, plus a Story Mode created with the help of the original manga artist, Yoichi Takahashi.
You can get a glimpse of that in action courtesy of the trailer embedded above.
