Honestly, does the PS5 need another anime gacha game? Probably not. They’re all starting to feel a little too similar to each other, you know?
We’ve been eagerly anticipating Perfect World Entertainment’s new game, Neverness to Everness (or NTE), for a while now.
Players will soon get a chance to experience the game on PS5. The Chinese company behind it has announced a beta test – called ‘Co-Ex Test’ – that will be available on Sony’s PlayStation 5.
To sign up, first register on the official website, then click the ‘Join Beta’ button. You’ll be asked to answer a short questionnaire, but keep in mind that not everyone will be chosen for the beta, so submitting your information doesn’t guarantee you a spot.

People are calling the game a supernatural RPG with an open world, and it seems most similar to Zenless Zone Zero.
This game differs from HoYoverse’s other titles by featuring vehicles and a detailed city life system. Players can purchase or rent apartments and customize them with their own personal style.
The trailer highlights the many things you can do in the game, including playing arcade games, going fishing, and enjoying mahjong, among others. It also features a variety of characters, with some familiar faces like Mint, and plenty of new ones to meet.
A key feature of this game is its unique gacha system. Unlike most similar games, it doesn’t rely on a 50% chance for rare characters. Instead, you’re guaranteed to get the featured S-Rank character after 90 pulls. Plus, you can earn signature weapons simply by playing the game.
There are already a lot of gacha games out there, so companies are really starting to compete with each other on how they use this type of business model.
NTE is hoping its quality and the amount of content it offers will attract a lot of players, but ultimately, its success will depend on how well it’s received when it’s released.
