Hey everyone, just a heads-up for those who might not have heard: Yakuza 3 Remastered is getting taken off digital stores on February 12th. It’s to make way for the release of Yakuza Kiwami 3, so if you’ve been meaning to grab it digitally, now’s the time!
Just so you know, you’ll still be able to buy the remastered game after this date, but only as part of the Yakuza Complete Series Bundle, which costs £114.99 / $129.99 – though it does sometimes go on sale.
Honestly, taking down Yakuza 3 Remastered is a strange move. While Yakuza 3 Kiwami is a rebuilt version of the game, it’s not the original, making the switch seem completely unnecessary.
This isn’t the first time SEGA and RGG Studio have caused frustration by removing games from sale. Last year, the original Yakuza 0 was taken down when the Director’s Cut version came out.
However, the problems with Yakuza 3 Remastered are potentially more significant, as it feels quite different from the much more updated Yakuza Kiwami 3.
Unfortunately, Yakuza 3 Remastered is only available for a limited time. If you want to own it separately and don’t want to purchase the whole Yakuza Complete Series, you have about 48 hours (as of today) to get it.
