The VR game Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom is coming to PlayStation VR2, as confirmed by its listing on the PlayStation Store.
It seems this page has been available for around a month, but neither we nor most other sites noticed it. That’s because the publisher, Astrea, didn’t announce it – which is unusual.
The game initially launched on the Meta Quest over a year ago, but it didn’t receive very positive feedback from players.
Most players find that Silver Phantom feels more like a movie than a game. It doesn’t offer much interaction, and the story is quite short, lasting just one or two hours.
Don’t go in expecting a realistic, fully immersive virtual reality experience like piloting a Gundam. It seems more like a playable anime, but that could still be really enjoyable for dedicated Gundam fans.
It’s worth noting that the official PlayStation Store description clearly states Silver Phantom is a “feature-length interactive cinematic story” designed for fans of Gundam, anime, and VR. It doesn’t mention any traditional gameplay at all!
The game doesn’t have a release date yet, and other than a listing on the PlayStation Store, there’s no official announcement for PSVR2.
