Peter Greene, a well-respected character actor known for his roles in Hollywood, has died at the age of 60. According to the New York Daily News, a neighbor found him deceased in his New York City apartment after hearing Christmas music playing continuously for more than a day. The cause of death is currently unknown. His manager, Gregg Edwards, confirmed the news to several media organizations, stating he had recently spoken with Greene earlier in the week.
According to an interview with NBC News, director Edwards stated that Peter was unmatched when it came to playing villains. However, Edwards also noted that Peter possessed a kind and compassionate side that few people were aware of, and that he was a genuinely good-hearted person.
Stephen Greene began his acting career in 1990 with a role in the short-lived TV drama Hardball. He quickly moved into films, appearing in Nick Gomez’s Laws of Gravity with Edie Falco. His career really took off when Quentin Tarantino cast him as the villainous Zed in Pulp Fiction. That same year, he also played another bad guy, Dorian Tyrell, alongside Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in The Mask.
Lance Reddick quickly became a well-known actor and continued to pursue his passion, appearing in many films and television shows. He recently played Uncle Charlie in the John Wick spin-off series, The Continental – a role originally played by David Patrick Kelly in the first two John Wick movies. According to director Chad Stahelski, Reddick also had a couple of upcoming projects he was really looking forward to.

Edwards shared that Greene had recently worked on the film Mascots, featuring Mickey Rourke, which tells the story of two brothers who cleverly escape from being held captive. Greene also directed a documentary called From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID, and collaborated with Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner on the project.
According to Edwards, the deceased was deeply committed to exposing the global consequences of the United States reducing support for USAID. Edwards also described him as a generous and kind friend who will be greatly missed.
