Queen Camilla‘s kids won’t be spending the most wonderful time of the year with their mum.

This Christmas, Queen Camilla’s children, Tom Parker Bowles, 50, and Laura Lopes, 47, won’t be spending the holidays with her and King Charles III, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Tom, whose father is Camilla’s ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles, told the Daily Mail in a December 5th interview that he and his sister won’t be attending every year. He explained that they’ll alternate, attending one year and then taking the next off.

That’s not to say that the invite wasn’t extended.

Oh my gosh, you guys, did you hear Tom? He just said his mum wished he’d come home for Christmas, she hasn’t seen him properly for ages! But get this – he’s actually spending it with Sara Buys – his EX-WIFE! Can you believe it? And with Lola and Freddy, his kids, of course – Lola’s 18 and Freddy’s 15. I just… I can’t even. It’s everything!

Tom also shared his thoughts on how King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, which started in 2024, has impacted both him and Queen Camilla.

He said it’s been a really tough two years for them. As you get older, you start thinking more about your own mortality, particularly when dealing with health issues and everything that comes with them.

Queen Camilla will be missing two family members during the holidays.

Camilla’s children, 50-year-old Tom Parker Bowles and 47-year-old Laura Lopes, won’t be spending Christmas with King Charles III and the rest of the royal family this year. Both Tom and Laura are from Camilla’s previous marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles.

When the Daily Mail asked if he and his sister would be celebrating with their mom this year, Tom replied, “No, and neither will my sister. We’re planning to alternate years – celebrate one year, then take the next year off.”

Tom said Camilla told her children she’d be happy to see them. However, Tom plans to spend the holidays this year with his ex-wife, Sara Buys, and their children, Lola, 18, and Freddy, 15.

Tom also discussed how King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, which started in 2024, has impacted both him and Camilla, who are both 78 years old.

He said it’s been a really difficult two years for them. As people get older, they start thinking more about their own mortality, particularly when dealing with health issues and everything that comes with aging.

In September, while visiting cancer patients at a hospital in England, Charles briefly mentioned his health, telling another patient he was “not too bad,” according to Hello! magazine.

Charles and Camilla will be spending the holidays at Sandringham in Norfolk, joining the rest of the royal family for Christmas. This includes Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – who will all participate in the traditional Christmas Day walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Although Camilla’s children can’t join them for Christmas, Charles and Camilla will still be spending the holiday with other family members.

The couple plans to spend the holidays at Sandringham in Norfolk, where they will likely join the rest of the royal family – including Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7) – for their traditional Christmas Day walk to church.

The royal family’s Christmas celebrations have begun, with Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children attending a carol service at Westminster Abbey in London on December 5th. Kate has organized this annual event, which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve, since 2021.

This year, she penned a special letter to attendees.

As a long-time observer of the Royal Family, it was quite a shock to hear that, just two weeks after Prince Andrew stepped down from using his Duke of York title, King Charles has now confirmed he’ll also be losing his home at Royal Lodge and, crucially, his title as a Prince. As a lifestyle expert, I’m following the news from Buckingham Palace closely, and today brought a significant update. It’s been officially announced that Prince Andrew will no longer be referred to as ‘His Royal Highness’ or use his royal titles. He’ll now simply be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. This is a formal step, and a clear indication of a shift in how things will be moving forward.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will stop using the title Duke of York. This decision comes after ongoing public concern about his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex offenses.

“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in the statement released by Buckingham Palace. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking things a step further. He would be giving up his royal title and any honors he’d received. As he’s said before, he strongly denies all accusations made against him.

 

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the event leading up to the COP30 climate conference, held at the Natural History Museum in London.

The couple took photos outside the museum, then went inside to discuss climate change solutions with government officials and activists. This meeting took place ahead of the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend as a representative for his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After reports surfaced this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue as a patron of their organization, according to The Guardian. They have informed the Duchess of their decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions.

A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House—the King’s home in London—apparently to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, announced their engagement on August 1st. They had been dating for over a year. His father is Mark Phillips.

The couple’s spokesperson told Hello! magazine that both families were told about the engagement at the same time and were very happy about it.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the monarch—in this case, her husband, King Charles III—based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, the annual horse race. Kensington Palace confirmed the news to NBC News.

The palace said Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

As a longtime supporter of Prince Harry, I was disappointed to learn his legal battle for extra security finally concluded on May 2nd with the courts dismissing his case. It’s been over a year since the High Court initially refused his request through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, and it’s sad to see it end this way.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the US, their security details were reduced. However, Harry continued to request security arrangements whenever he traveled to the UK in the following years.

Oh my gosh, I was absolutely heartbroken to hear Prince Harry talking to the BBC! He sounded so upset about the legal stuff, saying he was completely “devastated.” But what really got to me was when he said he just doesn’t see a future where he’d bring Meghan and the kids back to the UK right now. It’s just… everything. I feel so bad for him and his family, honestly. It’s like, they’ve been through so much, and now this? It’s just awful.

In an interview with the BBC on May 2nd, Prince Harry said his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security. He expressed hope that they could resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has shown him the incredible kindness and strength of people.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles wrote that a diagnosis is understandably scary for both individuals and their families. However, speaking from personal experience, he also believes it can reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.

He expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

It was really tough missing them again this Easter – it was the second one now. It felt especially poignant happening so soon after Kate shared her news about being diagnosed with cancer. It just felt… different this year.

In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and community to further their goal of inspiring positive change for the planet.

He received a promotion almost seven years after he reported concerns about Meghan Markle’s behavior, claiming she bullied two personal assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex denied these claims, telling The Times that the story was a deliberately damaging campaign built on false information.

A spokesperson announced to The Telegraph that the duchess is pregnant and expecting a baby this summer. The couple expressed their joy and excitement about starting a family.

Prince Frederik, the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, passed away on March 1st at the age of 22 following a struggle with a rare genetic condition called PolG mitochondrial disease.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers – the company behind The Sun and the now-closed News of the World – on January 22nd. He had sued them in 2019, claiming that journalists and investigators working for the newspapers illegally gathered information about the royal family.

According to NBC News, the settlement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering Harry a complete and sincere apology. They also publicly admitted to the widespread and deeply invasive media coverage of both his life and the life of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.

She announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that her cancer is in remission and she’s concentrating on getting better. She added that, like anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, she’s still adjusting to life after it.

She added that she was excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what it holds.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her rescue beagle, a dog she adopted in 2015, before she met Prince Harry.

Okay, so she posted this thing on Instagram, and it absolutely wrecked me. She said she’s been crying so much she’s lost count, like, those awful tears that make you just stand under the shower hoping the water will somehow wash the feelings away, even though you know it won’t. She even said it’s okay to feel that way, and honestly, that just… hit different. It was so raw and real, and I just feel so connected to her because of it.

Meghan shared a heartfelt message, saying, “Thank you, my sweet Guy, for loving me so unconditionally for so long. You brought so much joy to my life.”

 

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s ex-nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke (also known as Alexandra Pettifer), was a victim of the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Prince William and Princess Catherine were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ed Pettifer. In a message shared on Princess Catherine’s Instagram account on January 4th, Prince William stated their thoughts are with the Pettifer family and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

Meghan Markle, known for her role on the TV show Suits, started her own Instagram account on January 1st. She had previously closed her personal social media accounts right before marrying Prince Harry in 2018.
