In this latest incarnation of Marvel’s universe, some of the most impressive villains have emerged. One such character is The Maker, a malevolent version of Reed Richards who has established a council in this world. This council, primarily chosen by The Maker, assists him in shaping his new earth and exerts control over distinct regions worldwide. Each region has its own leader or leaders, all of whom have proven to be formidable threats with varying degrees of success. These villains have made a significant impact and garnered recognition – and it’s likely that more will surface soon.
This collection presents some formidable initial adversaries that the world’s heroes can engage in epic battles against. These primary villains from the Ultimate Universe, arranged in order, are as follows:
By rephrasing the original sentence, I attempted to make it more natural and easier to read while also maintaining its original meaning and tone. The use of “collection” instead of “batch,” “formidable initial adversaries” for “solid batch of beginning enemies,” and “primary villains” for “main antagonists” helps create a clearer and smoother sentence flow, making it more engaging to the reader.
6) The Rasputins
In the comic “Ultimate Wolverine,” although the original X-Men characters scatter throughout the story, the Rasputins emerge as a significant new danger. Heading their domain are Piotr, Illyana, and Omega Red, who wield power like an actual iron fist. Colossus, leading the trio, poses a severe hazard to mutants. Magik maintains her demonic queen persona, joined by Omega Red, making them formidable adversaries. So far, we haven’t witnessed much of their action, but the tension seems to be building. The moment Wolverine and his team clash with them, it promises to be an exciting battle.
5) Shadow King
In this universe, unlike The Maker’s council, the Shadow King poses a threat. He menaces the X-Men, attempting to control Armor as his personal puppet. This villain is affiliated with the cult called the Children of the Atom, under the leadership of Maester. His portrayal in this universe is that of a chilling teenager, retaining much of the same eerie essence as his counterpart from other realms.
The X-Men have faced numerous challenges with him, but when they unite, he’s as good as finished. In his own thoughts, he considers himself invulnerable, yet in reality, he won’t be able to withstand them all. Despite the chilling aura he exudes, the captivating artwork by Peach Momoko at least makes this Shadow King more visually appealing.
4) Moon Knight
In contrast to Moon Knight in the main Marvel universe (616), Khonsu and Ra present fresh interpretations of this character. Portrayed as charismatic cult leaders from an African region seeking Vibranium, they pose a danger not just to Black Panther but to Wakanda itself. Usually, it’s Khonsu who dons the costume, but both he, Ra, and their followers have clashed with Wakanda’s military forces.
Initially, they posed a formidable challenge in the story, but currently, they seem less prominent. They don’t appear to have vanished completely; instead, they are regrouping to return with even greater intensity. When they do, Black Panther and Storm will undoubtedly be prepared for whatever comes next.
3) The Sinister Six
In the series “Ultimate Spider-Man,” we encountered a unique rendition of the Sinister Six – unlike any we’ve seen before. Instead of villains who had been previously defeated by Spidey, this group consisted primarily of New York City’s crime bosses. However, they don’t maintain a steady grip on power over the city. Despite their ability to work together effectively, these criminals have deep-seated dislikes for each other. With oversized egos that constantly drive them to outdo one another, this group rarely manages to unite successfully.
With half the team sidelined, they’re rapidly increasing their numbers. Soon, only a few hurdles remain before we can assess their effectiveness in the long term. The inclusion of Mole Man adds an interesting twist and there’s a playful portrayal of Black Cat too. Overall, this new team setup is quite entertaining. They could benefit from building stronger trust among themselves.
2) The Hulk
In the primary universe, this incarnation of the Hulk is often hailed as a top hero, but his actions portray him more like a madman. He governs the city K’un L’un and serves as its Iron Fist, making him The Maker’s most formidable ally. During his initial encounter with the Ultimates, he relentlessly defeated the team multiple times, even brushing death upon several members. However, thanks to some intricate temporal manipulations, he was eventually halted in his destructive path.
Anticipating his next move, the Hulk left fans of The Ultimates trembling with fear. Even without the added factor of Iron Fist, the Hulk is already a formidable source of terror. But when these two forces collide, it becomes a terrifying spectacle, especially in the endgame. One can only hope that The Ultimates manage to overcome him this time, as he truly deserves to be bested.
1) The Maker
Our preferred choice is undoubtedly The Creator. Hailing from the initial Ultimate universe, he constructed the new one. He’s an exceptionally captivating antagonist who has rightfully garnered all the praise he’s received. Crafting his realm in his likeness, he seems to have hit the jackpot when it comes to villainy. With his launch scheduled for December 2025, one can only imagine what havoc he’ll wreak once freed. In Ultimate: Endgame, there’s much to dread from him beyond his ongoing psychopathic behavior. I highly doubt he’ll meet his end, but if he does, I hope Doom is the one to deliver the fatal blow – he deserves it.
