Console Variations, a site specializing in documenting unusual video game hardware, acquired the controller for approximately $1,300 on eBay.
As reported on the site, the ‘Alpine Green’ or ‘Jewel Green’ gaming controller was specifically made accessible only during the eSports World Cup held in Saudi Arabia this past July.
It is estimated that only a few thousand units were ever produced.
Based on the images provided by Console Variations, it appears that the package containing the pad was very well protected during shipping, indicating perhaps a rather vigorous handling method was used by PostNL for this particular delivery – an oops moment, you might say.
