The rhythm-based roguelike game Ratatan is officially launching on July 16th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam), and PlayStation 4 & Xbox One. While a Switch version was previously mentioned, it no longer appears to be in development, according to publisher Game Source Entertainment and developers TVT and Ratata Arts.
Ratatan first launched in Early Access for PC on September 19, 2025.
Here is an overview of the game, via Ratata Arts:
Ratatan is a fast-paced, rhythmic game where you build and customize your own army of Cobuns. Battle to the beat as you explore the vibrant, ever-changing world of Redo and take on anyone who dares to challenge you! You can play solo or team up with others.
Ratatan first gained attention in 2023 with a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, attracting over 14,000 supporters and raising more than $1.4 million. In September 2025, the game launched on PC through Steam Early Access and quickly sold over 100,000 copies in its first month. The development team, including former employees of Sony Japan like Hiroyuki Kotani, has consistently released free updates for the PC version, with more content planned. Now, launching on consoles marks the next major milestone for Ratatan.
TVT Studios and Ratata Arts are grateful for all the support from fans and ask for a little patience as they prepare to share details about bringing Ratatan to consoles in the coming weeks.
