Ubisoft is releasing a special edition of Rayman to celebrate its 30th anniversary. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (through Steam and Ubisoft Connect) starting February 13 as a digital download, and in stores on June 26.
Here is an overview of the game, via Ubisoft:
About
Experience a timeless adventure.
Play as Rayman and use his famous punch and helicopter spin to journey through vibrant worlds like the Dream Forest – complete with a memorable ride on a giant mosquito – and the musically wild Band Land. Your mission: rescue the Electoons and defeat Mr. Dark in a classic platforming adventure that still feels as enchanting as it did back in the 90s.
The Definitive Edition
Relive the original Rayman adventure on five different platforms – MS-DOS, PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance – now with a completely new soundtrack! This version also includes over 120 extra levels from popular fan-made packs like Rayman’s New Levels, Rayman 60 Levels, and Rayman By His Fans. Plus, discover a never-before-seen prototype of the game originally developed for the Super Nintendo, offering a unique look at the early stages of Rayman’s groundbreaking gameplay.
Exclusive Documentary
I’m a huge Rayman fan, and I just checked out this amazing interactive documentary! It’s like getting the inside scoop straight from the people who made the game. They have over 50 minutes of new interviews where they talk about how Rayman came to be. Seriously, it’s packed with cool stuff – early concept art, sketches, and design docs I’ve never seen before. It really gives you a unique look at how they created this iconic, limbless hero. It’s a must-see for anyone who loves the game!
A Classic for Everyone
Enjoy the classic gameplay you love, or experience a fresh challenge with new features! We’ve added things like a rewind function, multiple save slots, and accessibility options such as unlimited lives and the ability to instantly unlock levels.
