After months of anticipation and leaks, Ubisoft officially revealed Rayman Legends Retold with a trailer during the June 2026 State of Play presentation. The trailer begins with a short cinematic before showcasing the game’s fresh, updated art style in action. You can watch it below.
As hinted at in earlier previews, Rayman Legends Retold will feature completely 3D graphics, a departure from the original Rayman Legends, which combined 2D and 3D visuals. Like the first game, this remake will still offer a wide range of gameplay experiences to keep things fresh and interesting.
Rayman Legends Retold is a refreshed version of the 2013 platformer Rayman Legends, originally available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Continuing the story from Rayman Origins, the game follows Rayman and his friends as they discover that the nightmares have grown stronger while they were resting. These nightmares have transformed into legendary monsters, and it’s now up to Rayman and his team to rescue the Glade of Dreams.
Rayman Legends is a platforming game that constantly surprises players with creative changes in how you view and interact with each level. It’s also well-known for its levels that are perfectly timed to music.
Based on the trailer, Rayman Legends Retold will still let up to four players team up and play together, just like the original game. It’s currently unclear if the competitive minigames from the 2013 version will be included, though.
Rayman Legends Retold is slated for release on October 1st.
