Okay, so everyone already knew about these thanks to leaks, but it’s finally official! Ubisoft just announced two new Rayman games are coming to the PS5, and I’m so excited! I’ve been waiting for a new Rayman for ages.
Rayman Legends Retold is a fresh take on the classic side-scrolling platformer, now featuring updated 3D graphics. It’s the most noticeable change and a great way to experience the game.
While the game mainly plays like a traditional 2D title, it uses 3D models and backgrounds. However, some parts of this updated version offer a view from behind the characters, adding a new perspective.
This time around, the game features voice acting and cutscenes, which really helps to tell a more engaging story.
It’s great that the original Rayman Legends is still available and enjoyable, and this new version looks really promising too. While it’s definitely different from the first game, I think that’s a good thing – you can’t have too much Rayman!
Don’t overlook Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, which is a polished update of the game that came before Legends. It’s a fantastic 2D platformer that stands on its own as a great game.
We haven’t seen much of it yet, but the game is confirmed to run at 4K resolution with a smooth 60 frames per second. It will also feature immersive haptic feedback and several enhancements to improve the player experience.
The game will be sold separately, but it’s also included in the deluxe version of Rayman Legends Retold. Both versions will be released on October 1st, 2026.
