Razer’s “Iskur V2 X” gaming chair is a breath of fresh air with comfy ergonomics and an affordable price to boot

I tried out the E-WIN Champion Upgraded chair in late 2025, but unfortunately, it caused me a lot of back pain and I didn’t enjoy using it.

I immediately started looking online for a good alternative. Luckily, Razer sent me their Razer Iskur V2 X gaming chair to try out, so I didn’t have to search for long.

Now that Black Friday was over, I could finally test out Razer’s chair. I’m happy to report the Razer Iskur V2 X is a real relief for your back, offering great support and comfort thanks to its well-built, ergonomic design.

With a very reasonable price of $299.99, this is a gaming chair I’d happily recommend to anyone. While it’s not perfect, the quality is excellent for the price.

Here is my review of the Razer Iskur V2 X gaming chair.

Razer provided us with a sample unit for this review. However, they had no influence over the review’s content and didn’t see it before it was published.

Razer Iskur V2 X: Build quality and assembly

I was really impressed with how easy it was to set up the Razer Iskur V2 X. The instructions were super clear, with helpful pictures and writing, and they even included all the tools I needed, so the whole process was totally smooth and problem-free!

How challenging it is to assemble this chair will vary depending on your strength and the amount of space you have. If you don’t have much strength or have trouble moving around, you might need a helper, as some of the chair parts are quite heavy.

The Razer Iskur V2 X gaming chair is exceptionally well-made. The fabric feels comfortable, stays cool, and seems built to last. The sturdy metal base easily supports my weight (over 230lbs) and keeps the chair stable in any position.

As a researcher testing this chair, I found it’s important to note Razer recommends a weight limit of 299 pounds. I, personally, didn’t have any problems with stability, but heavier gamers – those between 300 and 400 pounds – might find it less supportive, particularly if it isn’t put together exactly as the instructions show.

Razer Iskur V2 X: Comfort, durability, and features

The Razer Iskur V2 X gaming chair is customizable to fit different users with features like adjustable 2D armrests, a backrest that reclines up to 152 degrees, and height adjustment.

I’ve been adjusting the chair, and I’m really impressed with how comfortable it is in any position. The seat is nicely cushioned with high-density foam, making it comfortable to sit in for long periods, and the padded armrests provide great support while I’m typing.

As a researcher testing this chair, I found the back and lumbar support to be a little firmer than I prefer, especially when compared to the very soft seat cushion. However, it wasn’t nearly as harsh as some other chairs I’ve tested – like the E-WIN Champion Upgraded. Any discomfort I experienced was more likely due to my own posture, and not really a flaw with the chair itself.

I’ve only had this chair for a week, so I’m still getting used to it. I expect it will become more comfortable over time as I break it in, especially the back and lumbar support.

I do wish this chair had built-in lumbar support, but you can buy a pillow separately from Razer for $59.99.

Should you buy the Razer Iskur V2 X?

✅ You should buy this if:

  • You’re looking for a high-quality and durable mid-range chair with comfortable seat cushioning and armrests.
  • You need a chair that’s simple and easy to put together.
  • A chair that won’t cost you over $400.

❌ You should not buy this if:

  • You weigh over the 299lb recommended weight limit.
  • You want a chair with a softer backrest and lumbar support.
  • If you want a chair bundled with a lumbar support pillow to help ease back pain.

At $299.99, the Razer Iskur V2 X is more expensive than some other chairs we’ve tested, like the Sihoo M57. However, its superior comfort and durable construction make it a worthwhile investment, particularly considering it’s a mid-range chair that offers a similar experience to the Razer Enki X.

If high-end gaming chairs like the Secretlab TITAN Evo NanoGen or Razer Iskur V2 are too expensive, the Razer Iskur V2 X is a fantastic, budget-friendly option.
