Reacher gets future confirmed following season 4 as fans await new book adaptation

The popular Prime Video series Reacher, based on Lee Child’s novels, has been renewed for future seasons, extending beyond the already-in-production fourth season.

I’m so thrilled to share that Reacher is officially coming back for a fifth season! Prime Video confirmed it today, and Alan Ritchson will be returning as Jack Reacher, which is fantastic news for all of us fans.

According to Peter Friedlander, who leads global television at Amazon MGM Studios, the Reacher series has become a major franchise, building on the popularity of Lee Child’s original novels and its successful television adaptation.

The show’s blend of thrilling action and engaging characters continues to attract a huge global audience of tens of millions. We’re thrilled to announce a fifth season is in the works, even before the fourth season has premiered, and we’re eager to keep the excitement going.

We don’t yet know which of Jacqueline Child’s novels will be featured in season 5 of the series. The show hasn’t followed the books in order – seasons 1, 2, and 3 were based on books one, eleven, and seven, respectively. Season 4 will cover book thirteen, titled ‘Gone Tomorrow’.

Season 4 begins when a simple encounter with someone in distress on the subway takes a dangerous turn, pulling Reacher into a complicated and lethal situation. He’ll face powerful and merciless enemies.

Similar to past seasons, season 4 will introduce a fresh group of actors and characters. Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Roberson are all confirmed to appear.

Filming for the new season finished in March, but we still don’t know when the episodes will be released.

Following the success of the Reacher series, a spin-off called Neagley is in production. The show centers around Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, who is the only character besides Jack Reacher to be featured in all three seasons. Alan Ritchson is also expected to make a guest appearance.
