Rebecca Ferguson is clarifying her previous comments about a fellow actor who, she says, yelled at her during filming, referring to them as an “idiot.”
The 41-year-old clarified that the person she discussed earlier this year is not Tom Cruise (her co-star in three *Mission: Impossible* movies), Hugh Jackman (from *The Greatest Showman*), or Ryan Reynolds (who she appeared with in the 2017 film *Life*), as reported by the *Times*. She also gave one additional clue about who it might be.
I was really struck by something she said in her recent interview. She mentioned that others who’ve worked with this person have also had terrible experiences, and honestly, it just confirmed a lot of what I’ve suspected. It’s not just me – it seems like a pattern of behavior.
The actress from *Dune* revealed that the person she discussed on a podcast in 2024 hasn’t contacted her since, and she isn’t concerned with whether they know she was talking about them.
We often focus on the fault of bullies, but it’s important to remember that many people act out because they lack confidence. However, asserting yourself can be difficult – sometimes it can even cost you your job, with someone else being hired in your place.
Rebecca Ferguson peers can back her up.
Over a year after initially describing a negative experience with a coworker she didn’t name – someone she said yelled at her during filming – she shared that she’s talked to other actors who have confirmed similar problematic behavior from him.
Rebecca told The Times in an interview published October 9th that others who have worked with this person also had negative experiences.
Even though fellow actors like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson praised her for sharing her story, the *Dune* actress revealed that the person she had issues with hasn’t contacted her, and she’s not concerned if they know she was referring to them.
She admitted she’s capable of publicly humiliating someone – even to the point of ruining their reputation – to get her message across. She doesn’t think it’s good behavior, but acknowledges that the professional world can be difficult.
We often focus on the fault of bullies, but it’s important to remember that people who bully are often insecure themselves. However, trying to defend yourself can be difficult, and you might even lose your job or be replaced by someone else.
Rebecca recently shared details about a challenging time she had on set last year. She explained how the experience helped her learn to advocate for herself, and clarified that her comments weren’t about former colleagues Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds, or Hugh Jackman.
She recently shared on the *Reign With Josh Smith* podcast that she worked on a film with a costar who was difficult to work with. She explained that this person was insecure and easily angered because they struggled with their performance, and unfortunately, she ended up being yelled at due to her own vulnerability and discomfort during the process.
She explained that because this person was the lead on set, she felt unprotected and like no one was looking out for her.
As she walked away from the set in tears, she remembered someone publicly criticizing her performance in front of everyone, saying, “You think you’re an actor? This is what I have to work with. It’s awful.”
But that horrible exchange marked a turning point.
She remembers the next day, she told the person to leave her set. She was incredibly scared at the time, but she stood her ground and told them to get lost, explaining she was focused on her work and never wanted to see them again.
I remember the producers approached me and said I couldn’t film a certain scene with the lead actor. They insisted that actor needed to be present on set. I explained that the actor could turn their back, allowing me to react as if speaking to them, and that’s what I ended up doing.

In January 2024, Bobby (the second person from the left in the picture) spoke about rumors of a disagreement with Tan (in the middle). This came two months after Bobby announced he was leaving *Queer Eye* after being on the show for eight seasons.
He assured *Vanity Fair* that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it’s separate from their work on the show and wasn’t related to romance. It was a private matter that had been building up between them.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show *Queer Eye*.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately earned it because they were the most qualified. I also want to be clear that I didn’t help them get the job by having anyone else removed from consideration, as I shared on Instagram.
As a longtime fan, I was really shocked to hear Holly Marie Combs talk about the issues between Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano on her podcast, *Let’s Be Clear*, last December. She claimed that Alyssa once forced a producer to choose between her and Shannen, and sadly, that’s what ultimately led to Shannen leaving *Charmed* back in 2001. It was heartbreaking to hear, and explains a lot about what happened behind the scenes.
In a February 2024 Instagram post, Alyssa stated she couldn’t get anyone fired and claimed that any current accounts of the events were simply inaccurate retellings of something that happened a long time ago.
At a MegaCon Orlando panel, Shannen stated that, to her knowledge, the story as it was originally told remains accurate and there’s no attempt to rewrite history.
Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.
I was shocked to hear Sharon Osbourne talk about her bad experience with a certain actor! Back in September 2023, while she and her daughter Kelly were playing a game on *TopMob News* called *Stir the Pot*, Sharon revealed that he was the rudest celebrity she’d *ever* met. She didn’t hold back, calling him a “rude, rude, rude, rude little boy” and even a “dastardly little thing”! It was pretty intense to watch, honestly.
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset when he was on *The Talk* in 2014, after she mispronounced his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She said she responded with a fierce warning: ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I will completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to, young man.’
In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris clashed with Brittany Aldean, the wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.
In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d ever met, explaining that Bure had once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted upsetting Siwa when she was younger and that she felt bad for not taking the picture with her.
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
As a big supporter of JoJo, I was really disappointed to see the actress’s comment. JoJo bravely shared that they’re part of the LGBTQ+ community back in 2021, and they rightly pointed out on Instagram how rude and hurtful the comment was – not just to them, but to everyone in our community.
In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed that Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without providing credit. Olivia responded with a simple, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”
While on *Watch What Happens Live*, the *Happy Days* actor explained why he and the *Forrest Gump* star didn’t get along while filming the 1989 movie *Turner & Hooch*.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to go home, saying I had everything I needed.
You know, working with Tom Hanks is always a pleasure, but I have to say, I really bonded with his dog! We hit it off immediately – I absolutely adored that furry co-star. It was a real joy being around him.
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.
“You know what you did!”
Anyone who watched *The Hills* probably remembers that famous line from Lauren during the third season’s premiere. The drama between them started when Heidi began dating her future husband, Spencer Pratt, and really exploded when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.
Okay, let me fill you in on the drama! It all started when the release date for *Fast & Furious 9* got moved, and Tyrese Gibson wasn’t happy. He publicly called out Dwayne Johnson on Instagram, voicing his frustrations. To add fuel to the fire, news dropped the *same day* about a separate *Fast & Furious* movie starring Dwayne and Jason Statham. Things escalated quickly – the next month, Tyrese actually threatened to leave *Fast 9* altogether if Dwayne was still involved. It was a messy situation, and really showed the tension brewing behind the scenes!
Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on *The Red Pill* podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though he hopes to. He did mention having a conversation with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations on behalf of others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, and that was his mistake, calling it unprofessional and inappropriate.
No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during their tours, was resolved when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s *Reputation* Tour began.
Taylor shared a video on Instagram explaining that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”
For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of *Sex and the City*, successfully dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and later made some pointed remarks about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of *Watch What Happens Live*, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.
She said she was just devastated. They had talked about it all week, and she was really bothered because that wasn’t how she remembered things happening.
It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. It started as a professional project, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years of working on something special, and the connection we all felt, will ultimately be more important than any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of something so meaningful.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.
Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award at the Q Awards that year, criticized Madonna’s live performances, saying, “Madonna, best live act? That’s ridiculous! When did lip-syncing become a live performance?” He went on to say he believed performers who lip-sync during paid concerts should face serious consequences.
Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Back in 2008, she totally clashed with the showrunner of *Grey’s Anatomy*! It was insane. She actually pulled her name from Emmy consideration! Apparently, she felt like the writing hadn’t given her anything *good* to work with, so she didn’t think she deserved a nomination. I mean, can you imagine? She was so passionate about her work and refused to be submitted for an award unless she felt she truly earned it. It was a bold move, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since!
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on *Oprah’s Next Chapter*. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone consistently demonstrates their true character, you should believe it,” Shonda explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”
The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the conflict with Nicki.
Cardi B recently told W magazine that someone has been repeatedly criticizing her. She explained that she’d talked to this person twice and thought they had resolved the issue, but the criticism continued.
The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.
Cardi B explained that she chose to be with her daughter instead of pursuing a very profitable Bruno Mars tour, potentially earning millions. She strongly emphasized her love for her daughter and her dedication as a mother, and expressed frustration that someone without children would criticize her choices. She also pointed out that opportunities to meet artists in casual settings are rare, so she wasn’t going to miss the chance at that particular event.
The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They eventually reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which mentioned Taylor by name.
Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.
“I don’t know her.”
The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about various singers, and when asked about Jennifer, she simply stated, “I don’t know her.”
