After a two-year wait since season 2, the release date for Record of Ragnarok season 3 has been announced.
I’ve learned that the third season of this anime – it’s based on a manga by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, and it’s all about a battle tournament between gods and figures from history – is coming to Netflix everywhere on December 10th, 2025.
Fans now know when the new season will arrive, and a brand new trailer offers a sneak peek at the exciting battles ahead.
The video also features the opening theme song, “Dead Or Alive,” by the Japanese rock band GLAY.

The new season will once again bring back famous historical and mythological figures, including Nikola Tesla (voiced by Makoto Furukawa), King Leonidas (Hiroshi Shirokuma), Hades (Ryotaro Okiayu), Beelzebub (Daisuke Namikawa), and Nostradamus (Shun Horie).
As usual, historical figures will battle it out in a 13-round showdown between mortals and gods. The first side to win seven matches will govern the world for a millennium.
The third season was announced in March, and manga writer Shinya Umemura expressed his gratitude, saying it was all thanks to fan support. He’s excited to see a specific move by Nikola Tesla animated and hopes viewers continue to enjoy Record of Ragnarok.
Takumi Fukui, the creator of the story’s structure, shared: “It’s been a while since the dramatic finale of season two! We’re so grateful for our fans’ continued support, which has made season three possible!”
We’re excited to see how the epic battle from the comic book will be brought to life on screen – especially the amazing moves and scenes! It will be great to see beloved characters meet again, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience the next chapter in the conflict between gods and humans.
