Reese Witherspoon Gives Tearful Insight Into Raising Kids in Hollywood

Reese Witherspoon is shining the spotlight on being a working mom in Hollywood.

In a transparent conversation, the actress from “Legally Blonde” opened up about the highs and lows experienced in bringing up her children: Ava Philippe (age 25), Deacon Philippe (age 21) – whom she co-parents with ex Ryan Philippe – and Tennessee Toth (age 12), who is shared with ex Jim Toth.

Reese, aged 49, shared on Instagram (August 14) a series of old photos showing her with her three kids, both at work and in their everyday lives. She was responding to someone who asked about juggling raising her children and building a career in Hollywood. For her, it meant spending a lot of time together in trailers, and always being on the road together as a family.

As the Big Little Lies star noted, the glitz and glam also came with a lot of tears.

Sometimes the work was incredibly challenging, causing tears at times. I’d put in 14 to 17 hours, often working through the night and still rising early for carpool. In those moments, I was exhaustedly sleep-deprived,” she expressed along with a nostalgic selfie featuring Ava and Deacon.

She went on to explain, “It appeared as though I was finding something positive to share about my job once I returned home in the evening. This way, my children understood that my work held significance for me and could be enjoyable.

For Reese, juggling motherhood alongside her professional life felt like the most satisfying accomplishment, given she’s in a relationship with financier Oliver Haarmann.

In summary, despite the occasional difficulties, raising children has helped me understand what truly matters in life. There’s nothing more rewarding than returning home to embrace them and listen to their stories about their day.

Throughout all the career accomplishments she’s discussed with her children, Reese confessed that they are uninterested in her roles beyond being their mother.

In an interview with TopMob News in January, she shared that her children tend to distance themselves from her professional life. Last night, her son admitted that he wasn’t aware she earned a living through comedy. He said, “I never realized. You’re funny at home-in a casual way.

Indeed, according to her son, she’s aged out of appealing to their demographic.

In a playful manner, Reese remarked that the person suggested kids of his age wouldn’t be interested in it due to them being “old.” Translated, what he meant was, “He told me that I’m old. However, they will enjoy it once they watch it with their parents.
